About One Acre Fund
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers across nine countries with farm supplies, seedlings, credit, agronomic training, and other services. One Acre Fund began work in Nigeria in 2018 and now serves 300,000+ farmers across regions in Niger State.

Role summary
Entrepreneurial field operations leader to launch and run One Acre Fund’s newest expansion state. Lead site selection, team-building, and delivery of a full first season across Credit, Cash Sales, Trees, Extension, and Market Access to prove the model before scaling.

Key responsibilities (highlights)
- State entry & launch: community mapping, site selection, establish districts/wards/PODs, recruit and onboard in-state team
- Programme & commercial ops: deliver Season 1 activities; manage operational calendar; own enrollment, revenue and P&L targets
- People leadership: coach coordinators/managers; build high-performing culture; improve retention
- Community & stakeholder engagement: build trust with leaders; support credit enrollment
- Performance & risk: monitor performance, manage operational/financial/credit risks, recommend improvements

Qualifications (highlights)
- Bachelor’s degree (Agriculture/Business/Economics/Social Sciences or related)
- 5+ years relevant experience (3+ years leading field teams or multi-workstream ops)
- Strong project management, data-driven decision making, results orientation, people leadership
- Willingness to be based in rural/remote locations and relocate as needed
- Nigerian citizen/permanent resident only
