ABOUT THE JOB

CBM Global Disability Inclusion is recruiting a Transformation Manager – Global to lead and coordinate its “Building Together” organisational change process. The role will support a shift of power towards partners and project participants, increase organisational impact, improve efficiency, and help move country work from a project-based approach towards programmatic and systems-level change.

The post-holder will initially coordinate two pilots, develop learning and tools for wider rollout, support changes to systems and procedures, update the Federation operating model, assess progress, prepare decision papers, and lead internal communications and stakeholder coordination across CBM Global’s federation. The role reports to the International Director and works with teams including Finance, Global Online, MEAL, Institutional Fundraising, Members, Technical teams and Country teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the overall Building Together change process and its two pilots, including plans, timelines, responsibilities, dependencies, deliverables, risks, progress reporting and steering-committee support.
• Lead the development of systems, procedures and processes needed for the changed ways of working.
• Provide backstopping support to internal teams and coordinate delivery across the Federation.
• Update the Federation operating model.
• Finalise and lead a learning framework to support real-time decisions, evidence generation and future rollout.
• Develop learning products, guidance, tools and checklists based on CBM Global’s experience and relevant sector evidence.
• Support internal communications, presentations, papers and decision-making materials for senior leadership and the Board.
• Develop and project-manage the wider rollout plan.
• Propose wider changes to Federation approaches, structures and ways of working.

KEY OUTCOMES

The role is expected to contribute to organisation-wide understanding and buy-in, successful delivery of the pilots, a learning-based rollout plan, more efficient systems and procedures, and a suite of practical learning products.

WHO CBM GLOBAL IS LOOKING FOR

Applicants should have at least five years of senior-management experience in an international development or humanitarian organisation, with a track record of leading organisational change and transformation. The organisation is seeking significant experience in systems-level and programmatic approaches, localisation and power shift, organisational processes and procedures, grant management and the project cycle, and working in a federated organisation. Knowledge of disability issues and a rights-based approach is desirable; lived experience of disability is an advantage.

Important skills include excellent project management, stakeholder relationship-building, influencing, communication, initiative, flexibility in complex environments, strategic and operational judgement, persistence and a commitment to disability inclusion and the rights of people with disabilities. LOCATION AND CONTRACT

The role may be based in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria, Madagascar, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, the Philippines or Laos, subject to the organisation’s eligibility and employment arrangements. It is a full-time, three-year fixed-term contract reporting to the International Director.
