About the Job
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), the leading UN agency in migration, is inviting applications for an Administrative Assistant in Abuja, Nigeria. The role supports administrative operations in a multicultural country-office/sub-office environment and involves appointment and calendar management, correspondence, visitors and telephone calls; coordination of meetings, trainings, seminars and events; preparation of minutes and follow-up actions; processing incoming and outgoing correspondence; contract, leave, attendance and budget administration; research and preparation of reports; processing HR, procurement, accounting, finance and logistics actions in IOM systems; maintaining filing and reference systems; improving office procedures; and other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with three years of relevant professional experience; or a high school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize paperwork methodically.
• Discretion, client orientation, patience and willingness to learn.
• Experience with international humanitarian, non-governmental or government organizations in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of administration and finance processes, migration-related subject areas, UN and bilateral donor programming, financial rules, procurement and human resources processes.
• English language fluency is required and will be evaluated during selection.
