About the Job
Position Overview
Lafiya is seeking a detail-driven Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations as the organisation scales from startup to national scale. The role covers purchase requests, quotes, tenders, vendor due diligence, purchase orders, contracts, compliance, documentation, training, and procurement reporting.
What You’ll Do
Lead procurement across thresholds; review Purchase Request Forms; source quotes; coordinate tender evaluation panels; issue purchase orders and contracts; conduct vendor due diligence; maintain the preferred vendor register; manage vendor relationships; maintain procurement forms and records; track sole-source and emergency procurement; support staff training; and report on cycle time, vendor performance, spend, compliance, risk, unit costs, and forecasts.

Detail-oriented, organised, clear, proactive, autonomous, comfortable under pressure, and committed to integrity, value for money, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Education and Experience
4–6 years of relevant procurement or operations experience, ideally in an NGO, donor-funded, or international development context. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain/procurement, finance, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience considered. Procurement principles and donor compliance knowledge required.
Skills
Professional English required; French and Hausa desirable. Excel or Google Sheets proficiency, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data cleaning, required. Strong documentation and cloud document-management skills required. Experience with multiple legal entities and NGN, GBP, and USD required. ERP/accounting and donor-compliance experience are advantages.

Recruitment Process
Stage 1: Application form and 30-minute multiple-choice assessment. Stage 2: 1–3 hour test task. Stage 3: One-hour interview, with questions provided in advance. Feedback is provided from Stage 2 onwards.
