Guidance Questions and Answer Sessions Terms

Registered advisers and facilitators may be invited to respond to participant guidance questions or take part in answer sessions, webinars, consultations, or other knowledge-support activities.

Participation may be:

• Paid;

• Voluntary and unpaid; or

• Subject to a separately agreed fee.

The applicable arrangement must be confirmed in writing before the session or response begins. The confirmation should state the scope, date, duration, expected response, fee (if any), payment terms, and confidentiality requirements.

Experts must provide accurate, respectful, and relevant information within their area of competence. Guidance is general information and does not create a professional, legal, medical, financial, or employment relationship unless separately agreed in writing.

No expert is required to provide unpaid guidance unless they have expressly selected or accepted a voluntary arrangement. Similarly, no payment is owed unless it has been confirmed in writing beforehand.

The communication channel, session format, timing, and any applicable fee will be agreed before the guidance session begins. Experts should not share confidential information through an insecure channel.
