Overall Responsibilities
Community Mobilization:
• Plan and execute community entry activities, including mapping, identification of key influencers and target groups, and engagements.
• Map stakeholders, including influencers, partners, and antagonists, and develop engagement plans.
• Develop and maintain a database of relevant government, non-government, religious, community, media, and other contacts.
• Develop and implement mobilization plans and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
Lead CBO Management:
• Identify CBOs and partners for community demand generation.
• Develop and implement capacity-building plans for CBOs, town announcers, WDAs, WDCs, and Youth Champions.
• Lead communication, sensitization, stigma reduction, demand creation, marketing, and service uptake activities.
• Implement MSI Nigeria’s community engagement strategy across operating channels.
• Prepare monthly activity plans and lead engagement with government stakeholders, traditional and religious leaders, youth and women’s groups, media, and communities.
• Develop plans for adolescent engagement, demand generation, and stigma reduction.
• Identify hotspots and strategies to increase post-abortion care uptake.
• Ensure channel and cost-centre targets are achieved.
Lead Demand Creation and Marketing:
• Develop a channel-specific demand-generation strategy.
• Analyse markets by segment, location, and accessibility.
• Ensure referrals, facility-level service uptake, client mobilization, contact-centre marketing, and project targets.
Advocacy and External Engagement:
• Sensitize police and engage traditional and religious leaders on sexual and reproductive health.
• Engage media, State Ministries of Health, relevant line ministries, and technical working groups.
• Identify partnerships that enhance MSI Nigeria’s visibility.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
• Ensure data quality checks, spot checks, validation, timely reporting, and effective referral tracking.
• Track reaches, facility-level service uptake, and contact-centre referrals.
• Submit monthly and quarterly reports, More Together stories, success stories, and high-quality activity photographs.
Required Qualifications
• First degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-NYSC experience in strategic communications.
• Experience in CSO management, planning, advocacy, and community engagement.
• Knowledge of donor contract requirements for budgeting and reporting.
• Ability to establish and maintain senior-level government contacts.
• Experience managing remote work and remote teams.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, analytical, decision-making, change-management, and team-working skills.
• Pro-choice and flexible in a changing environment.
