About the Job
Action Against Hunger is seeking two Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Officers to provide high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, follow-up, referrals, documentation, training, supervision, monitoring, and reporting for vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, adults, families, IDPs, refugees, and host communities in Borno State. The role supports MHPSS and protection programming in communities, schools, camps, primary health care centres, community-based organizations, and through home visits.

Key responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapeutic sessions; ensuring safe, confidential and high-quality care; using psychometric scales; maintaining clinical documentation; making referrals; providing staff care; supporting remote psychological support; training and supervising health workers, community members and psychosocial workers; contributing to guidelines, assessments, awareness activities, data collection, monitoring, evaluation and reporting; and collaborating with ACF departments and partners.

Requirements
• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counselling.
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in MHPSS, protection and/or care practices.
• Experience with psychological assessment, counselling, follow-up, case management and referral.
• Experience in humanitarian contexts and with vulnerable populations.
• Experience training and supervising health workers and community members.
• Fluency in Hausa and English.
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote areas.
