Digital Paths and Trusted Voices: Improving Immunisation in Nigeria
Lagos State, Nigeria
Save the Children, in partnership with AskNivi and the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, used a hybrid digital-and-community approach to help caregivers access childhood immunisation services. Through WhatsApp guidance, reminders and referrals, supported by trained Community Health Volunteers and trusted local voices, the VaxSocial project reached more than 190,000 caregivers and generated over 67,000 referrals to primary health-care facilities.
