Associate Manager, Program Data Analytics — Evidence Action

About the role
The Associate Manager, Program Data Analytics is a leadership role within Evidence Action’s Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation team, focusing on the West and Central Africa sub-region. The role leads analysis of programme data to generate actionable insights and evidence-based recommendations. The Program Data Management team handles data cleaning and digitisation, while the Program Data Analytics team interprets the data to improve programmes.
Key responsibilities
• Lead rigorous, documented and reproducible analysis of cleaned programme data.
• Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, including summary statistics, regression analysis and cross-tabulations.
• Translate analytical results into clear reports and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to measurement, sampling and survey strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, including the Senior Associate, Program Data Analytics.
• Manage work plans and support professional development.
• Communicate findings, data anomalies and emerging trends to programme teams.
Required skills and attributes
• Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency with Stata, R or Python.
• Experience creating dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong quantitative reasoning, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
• Flexibility to manage multiple analytical workstreams and changing priorities.
Location and employment
The role is associated with Abuja, Nigeria, with work supporting programmes across the West and Central Africa region. It is a full-time position; working arrangements may depend on programme requirements.
