Terms and Conditions for On-Demand Engagements

 

These terms govern on-demand advisory, facilitation, guidance, and knowledge-support assignments arranged through the INGOsphere9ja Expert Pool, including scope of work, fees, confidentiality, responsible data use, intellectual property, and payment arrangements.

Terms and Conditions of Engagement on Demand

  1. Separate Engagement
    Registration in the INGOSPhere9ja expert pool does not create an automatic engagement, employment relationship, or payment obligation.

  2. How Engagements Arise
    Subject Matter Advisers and Online Facilitation Guides may be engaged on demand by registered participants or by INGOSPhere9ja, depending on identified training or advisory needs.

  3. Written Agreement Before Work Begins
    No work should begin until the relevant parties have agreed in writing to:

    • Scope of work

    • Assignment objectives

    • Delivery dates and timing

    • Expected deliverables

    • Professional fees and payment schedule

    • Confidentiality requirements

    • Data-use responsibilities

    • Conflict-of-interest requirements

    • Cancellation or rescheduling arrangements

  4. No Implied Appointment
    Discussions, enquiries, expressions of interest, or requests for availability do not constitute an appointment. An engagement becomes effective only when the assignment is confirmed/agreed to in writing by the authorized party.

  5. Payment
    Payment will be made only according to the agreed assignment terms. No adviser or facilitator may claim payment for work that was not authorized or agreed to in writing.by both parties

  6. Independent Status
    Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, the adviser or facilitator acts as an independent service provider and is responsible for personal taxes, equipment, internet access, and other operating costs.

  7. Professional Conduct
    Every engagement must be performed professionally, accurately, respectfully, and in accordance with applicable confidentiality, data-use, safeguarding, and conflict-of-interest requirements.

  8. Changes to an Assignment
    Any change to the scope, timing, deliverables, fees, or responsibilities should be agreed to in writing by both parties before the changed work is undertaken.

Being registered in the pool does not guarantee work or payment. Each assignment must be separately agreed to and confirmed by both parties  before it begins.
