Job Summary
Support the design, implementation, and management of biodiversity monitoring systems across WCS Nigeria landscapes. Ensure robust ecological data collection, analysis, and reporting for adaptive management and donor compliance. Reports to the Program Manager.

Responsibilities (highlights)
- Design and implement ecological & socio-economic monitoring systems
- Lead ecological data collection; coordinate socio-economic data collection (SMART/EarthRanger, camera traps, bioacoustics, GIS/remote sensing, KoboToolbox)
- Manage data QC, storage, analysis; produce scientific and donor-compliant reports
- Supervise field teams; lead biomonitoring capacity-building trainings
- Provide evidence-based recommendations for conservation decision-making

Requirements (highlights)
- Master’s degree in ecology/conservation/natural resources (PhD advantage)
- 3+ years progressive experience in biodiversity monitoring/conservation
- Experience with biomonitoring tools (SMART/EarthRanger, GIS, remote sensing, field surveys)
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
