Job Summary
Support the Biomonitoring Coordinator in implementing biodiversity monitoring systems across priority species and habitats in the Yankari landscape. Conduct field surveys, manage ecological data, contribute to reporting and stakeholder engagement, and support local capacity-building for monitoring. Reports to the Biomonitoring Coordinator.

Responsibilities (highlights)
- Support monitoring systems for priority species/habitats (elephants, primates)
- Conduct field surveys (transects, camera trapping) and support patrol-based monitoring data
- Collect ecological data using SMART and other tools; ensure accurate entry/validation
- Maintain datasets and support integration with GIS
- Contribute to monitoring reports, field updates, donor/partner reporting
- Assist training rangers/community members; support patrol planning and field operations

Qualifications (highlights)
- Bachelor’s in ecology/wildlife/environmental science (Master’s advantage)
- 2–3 years experience in biodiversity monitoring/conservation fieldwork
- Practical field survey experience (transects, camera traps, GPS)
- SMART familiarity desirable; protected area/rural field experience preferred
